InSTAR Family Interventions

Family interventions are integral part of our InSTAR program, which includes education about illness, treatment, management at home, skills training for patients as well as families, and counseling services for family caregivers to manage their own psychosocial problems. These interventions are proven to be helpful to the families in understanding about their relative with schizophrenia, treatment compliance and helps in better coping and management of the illness.

InSTAR also provides family support groups for the persons with schizophrenia and their families. These groups gives the persons with schizophrenia and their caregivers an opportunity to meet the people in similar situations for mutual sharing of their experiences and learning about the illness and its management.

These ongoing InSTAR family focused services are available on every Wednesday from 9.30am to 1pm at Schizophrenia Clinic.
