Dr. Devvarta Kuma, Ph.D
Dr. D. Kumar, Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, coordinates cognitive therapies for Schizophrenia patients under InSTAR programme. His research interests are cognitive deficits in schizophrenia, understanding these deficits with the help of Event-Related Potentials and fMRI, Meta-cognitive training for schizophrenia patients, Central Nervous System based detection of deception techniques, development of psychological tests as well as standardization and norm development for existing tests and psychotherapy in Indian context. Recently he has got three extramural research grants as Principal Investigator – Department of Biotechnology’s Rapid Grant for Young Investigators (RGYI), grant under Neurobiology initiatives of the Department of Biotechnology and Cognitive Science Research Initiative grant from the Department of Science and Technology. Moreover, he is a co-investigator in a non-funded institutional research project on comparison of variants of Exposure and Response Prevention treatment in OCD.
